Another quote - from someone mysteriously famous and another one from Deng Xiaoping, China

You who are well-to-do, and who therefore have the opportunity to cultivate intelligence, can you not through revolt create a new society? It depends on you, not on anybody else; it depends on each one of us, not on the rich or the poor, or on the communists. You see, most of us have not this spirit of revolt, this urge to break through, to find out; and it is this spirit that is important.

Amen. Let us be very hot or very cold, for if we are just a little warm, we will be rotting to stinky-ness (this is from me and that's unfortunate ;-)

"We must cross the river by feeling the stones with our feet" - quoted by Fareed Zakaria, Newsweek, May 2007

quote - what are we seeking?

Being in ourselves empty, dull, sorrowful, we are psychological beggars, seeking someone or something to nourish us, to give us hope, to sustain us, and that is why we make normal things ugly." Krishnamurti - Think on these things - Chapter: The simplicity of love - Question: Why is that always so many rich and important people are invited to school functions?

Peter Mayle (un an en Provence)- on being a writer:

Quel ecrivain etes-vous? Aise ou laborieux?
P. Mayle - Laborieux.

quote - On me and society.... & on using one's own energy properly

"You take society as it is for granted. Why? You who don't belong to the poor class, who are fairly well-to-do, why don't you revolt - not as a communist or a socialist, but revolt against the whole social system? You can afford to do it, so why don't you use your intelligence to find out what is true and create a new society?"

Guess who is it from? email me and you will win a prize of value if you are right. You will also win something if you are wrong. Good luck and let the fun begins.

---------
